When you throw your stone …

I see at my new work place by just taking a listen at break time, lunch, etc that many are so quick to judge others, make assumptions without really knowing someone.  How can you know someone else’s life if you just met them?  And to then turn yourself away from them because of these assumptions?  Pushing them away, dismissing them yet you really have no idea what is in that person.

This week I am adjusting to all things new; job, co-workers, schedules and well just Life is a new again.  Some things change and some stay the same.  I have been praying much on this new direction my life is taking.  All the while reading my Bible daily with my church as well as the 1 John Study with my Facebook group (for more information go to goodmorningirls.org)

On this day I am reading and reflecting on 1 John 1:5-7 then vs. 8-9

Walking in the Light

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Wednesday~ 1 John 1:8-9
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

And all this~~ God brought me to the music of Shaun Groves

When you throw your stone
Aim it at the heart
Where every crime comes from
Where every stumble starts

And save the next for me
Muster all your skill
‘Cause sin in secrecy
Is the hardest kind to kill

CHORUS:
Lay me down with the liars
Brawlers, thieves and backbiters
Lay me down with the others
‘Cause I’m no better

There’s no justice here
It’s just as well you know
We’ve all got hell to pay
And grace pays all we owe

CHORUS

CHORUS 2:
Lay me down with the takers
Politicians, cheats and heart breakers
Lay me down with the others
‘Cause I’m no better

No Better by shaungroves

And a Prayer to Share…
Heavenly Father, I pray for forgiveness for all my sin, Lord even the ones I think you may have forgot, for you know all Lord, you  know my heart and my mind. I long to see the world as you see it; help me to treat others as you have taught me in your Word. Help me to be the reflection of you and for others to see you through me. Help me to have the words and the way to walk in the light and to share this with others.
In Jesus name I pray. Amen

  2. I've been there and it's hard...being in a new workplace trying to find my place without conforming to the world in order to fit in.

Praying for you as you adjust to the changes in your life and that your light will shine brightly in your new workplace.

I love your prayer and have made it mine as well.

  3. I pray God blesses you in your new job and uses you as his light to those around. May you be found faultless and blameless in the midst of those who do not follow him.

  4. Oh my word, this totally happened to me this weekend. I was talking with someone who totally judged a complete stranger on the basis they had dated their boyfriend for 10 years prior to marriage. My heart was pierced as I realized how ugly that sounded. Lord, help me guard my heart and words!
